We wanted to help people rethink weekends.
People were taking week-long vacations and going on business trips, but that left weekend vacancies. We needed to help Westin convince people to take weekend getaways while highlighting their many amenities.
Convince commuters to make the most of their weekends.
We transformed Vanderbilt Hall at Grand Central Station overnight to attract NYC commuters in need of a weekend away. Throughout the 4-day event, ambassadors invited people to engage with interactive, larger than life displays inspired by golf, beach, ski, and city vacations.
Help people picture themselves on vacation.
To transport people to their dream destinations, each display had its own photo booth. People could enhance their photos with digital props, email to themselves, and share on social to drive excitement for Westin Weekends.
Give away a weekend getaway.
If the fun of getting a photo wasn’t enough, each offered a chance to win one of many prizes. We gave away hotel amenities, including a Heavenly Bed and Heavenly Robes—and even a Westin Weekends getaway.
Make the perks clear.
We highlighted Westin’s many amenities to provide extra incentive to take the weekend off. Signage showed off perks like a Heavenly® Bed for a good night’s sleep, a SuperFoodsRx breakfast for a healthy start, and late checkout on Sunday.
People got pumped for a weekend away.
Thousands visited the display and shared their photos with the #westinweekend hashtag on social media, generating awareness for Westin Weekends.
